Toss : Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat first

Mohammad Hafeez - With scores of 86* and 69 against England recently (Sept 2020) and a great Pakistan National T20 Cup (278 in just 9 inns) Hafeez will play the T20s. His record against Zimbabwe: 215 runs and 13 wickets in just 7 matches, that is close to 2 wickets and 30 runs per match.

Sean Williams - Fresh from a century (118*) and before that a fifty (75) along-with a wicket in the ODI series, Sean Williams would certainly carry the same momentum in the T20s as well. Stat alert: In his last 4 T20Is against Pakistan he has scored 128 runs and also taken 4 wickets.

Shadab Khan - He did not play in the ODI series but will most likely start in the T20I matches as he is a T20 specialist all-rounder. A look at his record in the recent Pakistan National T20 Cup: 237 runs and 15 wickets in just 10 matches (That is almost 23+ runs and 1+ wicket in every match)

Blessing Muzarabani - The 24 year old was the highest wicket taker in the ODI series with 7 wickets and would certainly carry that form in the T20I series as well. He has represented Zimbabwe only 6 times in T20Is and has taken 9 wickets, thus having a go

Haris Rauf - He might feature in the T20I series regularly given his form in the recent Pakistan National T20 Cup in which he picked up 18 wickets in just 8 matches (more than 2+ wicket per match). He has played 5 T20Is this year and has taken as many wickets.

Shaheen Afridi - Afridi was in sublime touch in the National T20 Cup as he was the highest wicket taker in that series with 20 wickets in just 10 matches (2 wickets per match ratio). As context, in the first ODI between these 2 teams this series he picked up a 5-fer (5/49), thus looks in good rhythm.

Haider Ali - The hard hitting batsman impressed everyone in his T20I debut scoring a fifty against England (54 from 33) earlier this year. In the Pakistan National T20 Cup he scored 294 runs in just 8 innings (close to 37 runs per inns) which included 16 sixes.

Babar Azam - The skipper is currently ranked 2nd in the T20I Batsmen rankings and he averages almost 50 in T20Is. His scores in his last 3 T20Is read: 21, 56 and 66*. Stat alert: He scored 275 runs in just 5 matches (scores of 39, 0, 64*, 86 and 86*) in the recent Pakistan National T20 cup.

Brendan Taylor - He is not a specialist T20 player but given that he had a brilliant run in the ODI series (204 runs and 6 dismissals in 3 matches). As context, he has played 2 T20 international matches this year and in one of them he scored a fifty (59*).

Preview

After a thrilling finish to the ODI series, Pakistan and Zimbabwe get ready for a 3-match T20I series. This too, would be played in Rawalpindi.

After threatening to win in the first game, the visitors finally tasted success in the last game, winning it in the Super Over.

Pakistan will not be fretting too much about that loss but they do need to start thinking about their batsmen's strike rates. That was one particular point throughout the ODI series and the shortest format will test that even more.

Zimbabwe can do well to take the belief from the final ODI. That they can win. Wesley Madhevere is showing his true potential while the bowling has been really good the entire series. But just like Pakistan, they too, need to improve their strike rates and primarily, get other batsmen to contribute rather than just Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams.
