RAJ vs DEL, Pitch Report and Conditions
The pitch at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai is a balanced pitch. The average 1st innings score at this venue in the last 6 matches is 176 runs. The team batting first at this venue has won 67% of its matches. The team winning the toss will look to bat first here.
Pacers have been very successful at this venue. They have earned 72% of the total bowling fantasy points at this venue. We would suggest that you pick as many pace bowlers as possible in your team.
RAJ vs DEL, Head to Head
In the 22 matches played between these 2 teams, Delhi have won 11 matches and Rajasthan have won 11 matches. Bowlers of both teams have earned the most fantasy points for their respective teams so far.
RAJ vs DEL Dream11 Prediction: Batters and Wicket-Keepers
Shikhar Dhawan was the man of the match in Delhi’s first match this season as he scored 85 runs in just 54 balls and gave a total of 143 points which was the highest in that match from either of the team.
However, if we look at his last 12 matches in the Indian T20 league, he has scored 571 runs which includes 2 centuries, 5 fifties but 4 single digit scores and one score of 15; thus, can give either loads of points or nothing.
Having said that, he still has a Fantasy Gully rating of 9.1 which is quite high even for a risky player like Dhawan.
He follows a similar pattern of scoring runs against Rajasthan as well as he has scores of 57, 5, 16, 54, 6, 78* & 54 in his last 7 matches against them. But given a choice between the 2 Delhi openers (Shaw and Dhawan), Dhawan can be preferred.
Sanju Samson almost took his team through in the match against Punjab the other night as he scored this season’s first century (119 from 63 balls) and gave a mammoth 179 fantasy points (includes 1 catch as well).
At Wankhede, he now has played in 7 matches in the Indian T20 league in which he has scored 339 runs at an average of 48 runs per innings (strike rate of 165) and thus Wankhede has now become a happy hunting ground for him, and fantasy points are guaranteed from him here.
It was clear from Rajasthan’s first match that it will be Sanju who would be wicketkeeping in most of the upcoming matches and thus you can expect extra points from him in the form of catches/stumpings/runouts as well.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 8.8 and has given an average of 56 fantasy points which makes him a must-have in your team.
Rishabh Pant has a stellar record against Rajasthan as in his 5 matches against them he has scored 225 runs (includes 3 fifties) at an impressive strike rate of 179 and thus can end up giving you fantasy points on the upwards of 50 points.
Pant did not get to bat enough in Delhi’s 1st match as the job was already done by Shaw and Dhawan, having said that Pant can come in more than handy if the top order fails to deliver and can take the game away from you in no time.
He always bats with a higher strike rate and thus more points are gettable in the form of fours, sixes, and strike rate bonus. As context, he has a batting strike rate of 209 at Wankhede in the Indian T20 league.
He can also give extra fantasy points in the form of stumpings/catches/runouts and thus even if he scores less runs, his wicket-keeping can adjust his fantasy points scored and in most of the matches he can end up in the Dream team.
RAJ vs DEL Dream11 Prediction: Bowlers
Kagiso Rabada should be available for the upcoming fixture as he completed his quarantine and might as well replace Tom Curran as he looked out of sorts in the match against Chennai.
Rabada was the highest wicket taker in the Indian T20 league last season as he took 30 wickets in his 17 matches. Interestingly, he was wicketless in only 3 out of these 17 matches and thus he gave fantasy points on the upwards of 50 in almost most of these matches.
Rabada has played 4 T20 matches at the Wankhede stadium and in these matches, he has bowling figures of 2/23, 1/30, 2/37 & 2/50 which proves that fantasy points were guaranteed every time he had played at this venue.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 8.5 and has given an average of 57 fantasy points in his last 10 T20 matches which is too good for a bowler and thus he should be a must-have in your team.
Chetan Sakariya was impressive on his Indian T20 league debut against Punjab as he took 3/31 and ended up with 91 fantasy points which is quite impressive.
He has entered this season of the Indian T20 league on the back of a good performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in which he took 12 wickets in just 5 matches at an impressive economy of under 5.
Also, another impressive stat about this player is that he has played in a total of 17 T20 matches and has taken 31 wickets in them with being wicketless in only 1 out of these 17 matches which proves that with him fantasy points are guaranteed in every match.
Given that he is not valued that high in terms of credit, he can be accommodated in your fantasy team for a relatively less amount which can eventually help you include other big credit players such as Buttler, Ben Stokes, Dhawan in your team.
Avesh Khan proved to be a surprise package for Delhi in the last match as he picked up 2/23 in his quota of 4 overs and dismissed big names like Faf du Plessis and MS Dhoni and gave 74 fantasy points which was the highest among all bowlers in that fixture.
In fact, little does everyone know that he has entered this season of Indian T20 league on the back of a splendid performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in which he took 14 wickets in just 5 matches.
He had taken at least a wicket in each of these 5 matches which goes to show that he guaranteed fantasy points in every match.
Given that Rabada will most likely play in this match, Delhi’s pace attack now looks more potent and each of these bowlers can end up giving you an upwards of 50 fantasy points against Rajasthan.
RAJ vs DEL Dream11 Prediction: All-Rounders
Marcus Stoinis did not get to bat enough the other night as the match was almost done, however he did score 14 runs in just 9 balls (strike rate of 156) and showed that he can score quick runs if needed. He did bowl a couple of overs in which he went wicketless.
However, against Rajasthan last season Stoinis played 2 matches in which he had scored 57 runs and took 2 wickets and thus gave an estimated average of 55+ fantasy points in these 2 matches.
In his last 10 T20 matches, Stoinis had given an average of 48 fantasy points and thus he has a Fantasy Gully Rating of 8.2 which is quite high for an all-rounder.
Chris Morris was the best performing all-rounder for Rajasthan in the last match as he took 2 wickets with the ball but could not contribute with the bat as much as he got to face only 4 deliveries.
He still ended up giving 62 fantasy points in the last match which was enough for him to feature in the dream team.
Morris in the recent CSA T20 challenge had taken 5 wickets and scored 37 runs in his 5 matches and thus gave an estimated average of 35 to 40 fantasy points per match which is still decent.
Given that Morris is more being used as a bowler by Rajasthan this season, he can be very crucial in taking wickets at regular intervals especially in death overs as he is a specialist in that and can come in more than handy against the likes of Stoinis, Pant and Hetmyer at the death.
RAJ vs DEL Dream11 Prediction: Top Players of the Last Match
