Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan, along with Rahul Chahar, Shreyas Gopal, and Wriddhiman Saha, will be the brand ambassador of fantasy sports firm BLITZPOOLS.

Indian fantasy gaming platform BLITZPOOLS has announced young Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan as its brand ambassador.

Ishan Kishan will be joined by three other cricketers, Rahul Chahar, Shreyas Gopal, and Wriddhiman Saha, as ambassadors as BLITZPOOLS aims for rapid expansion in India.

The fantasy sports platform was recently rebranded from LivePools to BLITZPOOLS after IGT.BET (formerly i3 Inc.) bought a majority stake in the Indian startup.

Vickram Assomull and Gaurav Assomull, the founders of the fantasy sports firm, want to leverage the popularity of the emerging cricketers to attract new users to the platform.

“These young and rising cricket superstars resonate well with our target audience and will bring on board their fans who in turn will get a chance to play with each of them,” the Assomull brother said.

The platform will offer bonuses for all existing players as they migrate from LivePools to BLITZPOOLS in addition to welcoming new players with offers. And with the new brand ambassadors, BLITZPOOLS wants to increase its recall value amongst its target audience.

“We are beyond confident our investment, partnership and brand positioning with BLITZPOOLS will further establish a strong foothold in the Indian fantasy gaming market,” an IGT.BET spokesperson said.

Ishan Kishan, who smashed a half-century on his debut for team India in the second T20I against England, is enthusiastic about his association with the fantasy gaming brand.

"I am extremely excited to get on board with BLITZPOOLS, India's fastest-growing and truly interactive skill-based fantasy sports platform,” said Ishan Kishan.

By the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, BILTZPOOLS plans to become one of the largest fantasy sports players in India through this rebranding strategy.

Ishan Kishan and Rahul Chahar will represent the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 2021, while Shreyas Gopal and Wriddhiman Saha will play for Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, respectively.
