DEL vs MUM, Pitch Report and Conditions
The pitch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai is a balanced pitch. The average 1st innings score at this venue in the last 12 matches is 171 runs. The pitch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai is a balanced one with decent assistance for both batters and bowlers on offer.
The pacers have earned 72% of the total bowling fantasy points at this venue. Hence picking up pacers for your fantasy team should be a good idea.
DEL vs MUM, Head to Head
In the 28 matches played between these 2 teams, Delhi have won 12 matches and Mumbai have won 16 matches. Bowlers of both teams have earned the most fantasy points for their respective teams so far.
DEL vs MUM Dream11 Prediction: Batters and Wicket-Keepers
Shikhar Dhawan
With 186 runs in 3 matches, Dhawan is looking in sublime form and has given 135, 42, and 143 fantasy points respectively in these matches and thus has been part of the Dream team on every occasion so far in this season.
Now that Delhi have shifted the base to Chennai, it will be interesting as to how Dhawan plays here as Wankhede and Chennai are 2 completely different surfaces all together and at Chennai runs are hard to come.
Having said that, he has a good record with the bat at this venue as in his last 5 T20 matches here, he has scores of 19, 92, 26, 63 & 36 and thus has given great fantasy returns in these matches here.
Also, so far in the 6 matches played at Chennai this season, it was observed that the powerplay overs have been more beneficial for batsmen to score runs than the middle and death overs and this is where a player like Dhawan can score runs at will.
Suryakumar Yadav
He has scored 33, 91 and 47 fantasy points in his 3 matches this season which are very good numbers and in 2 out if these 3 matches he was in the dream team. Also, the match in which he scored 33 points (vs Hyderabad) he narrowly missed out from the dream team and this goes to show that he is a consistent performer and can be a bankable player.
In his last 5 T20 matches, he has produced scores of 10, 56, 31, 32 & 57 which again goes to show his consistency with the bat.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 8.6 which is the 3rd highest among all players for this fixture and has given an average 40 fantasy points in his last 10 T20 matches which goes to show that he is in great form.
He is a great player of spin bowling and thus can be a good pick as the Chennai pitch is slowing down and he can dominate against them.
Rishabh Pant
Pant has given 21, 84 & 27 fantasy points in his 3 matches so far this season.
In the first match he did not get enough opportunity to bat however in the 2nd he did show his class by scoring 51 in just 32 balls and thus gave 84 fantasy points in the match.
He has been blowing hot and cold against Mumbai with the bat as his scores are 56, 3, 21, 7, 78*, 64 & 47 in his last 7 matches against Mumbai. Thus, he can be a good pick as if he scores runs points are guaranteed but even if he does not, his wicketkeeping can given an extra 8 or 16 points and thus he can end up in the dream team.
He can dominate spinners very well and against Mumbai, he can score runs with ease as the only spinners who they have are leg-spinner (R Chahar) and slow left-arm orthodox (K Pandya), against whom a left hander can easily score runs.
DEL vs MUM Dream11 Prediction: Bowlers
Trent Boult
With 6 wickets in 3 matches, Boult has been fabulous with the ball and has given 107, 72 and 37 fantasy points respectively in these 3 matches. He has been part of the dream team on all these 3 occasions which shows that he has been very consistent and can be a great pick for the upcoming fixture.
Last season, he played against Delhi 4 times (twice in group stage and twice in the knockout stage) and in these 4 matches he had bowing figures of 3/30, 2/9, 3/21 & 1/36 which proves that against Delhi he has been lethal and thus in the upcoming encounter he can be trusted with the ball.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 9.3 and given his current form and record against Delhi, he should be a must-have in your team and can also be a good captain/vice-captain choice.
Rahul Chahar
Rahul Chahar after going wicketless in the first match, he picked up 3/19 & 4/27 respectively in his recent 2 matches and thus has given 89 & 122 fantasy points and thus has regained momentum.
Also, the only time he played against Delhi in India, he had picked up 3/19 and the venue was Arun Jaitley stadium, Delhi which has a similar slow surface just like Chennai.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 8.5 for this fixture and has given an average of 56 fantasy points per match in his last 10 matches which goes to show that he is in sublime form and is a player who cannot be missed out from your fantasy team especially if the match is at Chennai.
Except Rishabh Pant, every other middle order player for Delhi has not looked comfortable so far this season and thus Chahar can be very crucial against these players and can take a wicket or two.
Kagiso Rabada
Rabada has a more than decent record against Mumbai in the Indian T20 league. In his 8 matches against them, he has taken 9 wickets and has been wicketless in only 2 matches and thus has given fantasy points in al the other 7 matches.
He has been playing well so far as in his 2 matches he has given 35 & 72 fantasy points and on both these occasions he did feature in the Dream team.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 8.4 for this fixture and has given an average of 60 fantasy points in his last 10 T20 matches which goes to show the form he is in.
Given that the bowlers have taken more wickets in death overs at Chennai this season, Rabada can prove to be crucial here as he generally bowls 2 overs at the death and can restrict the likes of Hardik and Pollard.
DEL vs MUM Dream11 Prediction: All-Rounders
Marcus Stoinis
After not doing so well in the first 2 matches, Stoinis was back at his best in the last match against Punjab as he did well with the bat and returned with 50 fantasy points.
Last season, Stoinis played 4 matches against Mumbai and in these 4 matches he had scored 80 runs and took 3 wickets with the ball which estimates to an average of 45 fantasy points per match which is not bad.
He does not bowl that quick and relies much on his slower deliveries and changes ups which could work well for him at a surface like Chennai. Talking about his batting, he did not get enough opportunities with the bat but can be very handy even if he gets to face 10/15 odd deliveries and thus can give extra fantasy points.
He has a Fantasy Gully rating of 7.8 and has given an average of 40 fantasy points in his last 10 T20 matches which is a great number.
Krunal Pandya
Krunal Pandya has given 30, 53 & 53 points so far in his 3 matches this season which are very good numbers.
He can be the preferred all-rounder over Hardik and Pollard as both these are not bowling very often and their chances of taking any wicket with the ball are very slim as compared to Krunal who has taken a wicket in each of his 3 matches this season.
Also, Since the Chennai track is slowing down as the matches are increasing, Krunal can be an interesting prospect for this fixture.
As far as his record against Delhi in the Indian T20 league is considered, they are his favourite opponent as in his 11 matches against them he has scored 249 runs (strike rate of 175) and has taken 9 wickets which approximately comes down to an average of 50 fantasy points against Delhi.
DEL vs MUM Dream11 Prediction: Top Players of the Last Match
The Top Point Getters for Delhi are Shikhar Dhawan with 135 match fantasy points. Prithvi Shaw with 53 match fantasy points and Marcus Stoinis with 50 match fantasy points.
The Top Point Getters for Mumbai are Trent Boult with 107 match fantasy points. Rahul Chahar with 89 match fantasy points and Kieron Pollard with 66 match fantasy points.

Shikhar Dhawan has an average of 59 match fantasy points in the last 10 games, a fantasy rating of 8.72 and a medium XFactor.
