Dream11 inked a deal with LaLiga, the top-flight football league of Spain, to become its official fantasy gaming partner in India for the next five years.

Dream11 becomes official fantasy game partner of LaLiga in India

In December last year, India’s leading fantasy sports platform Dream11 entered into a five-year deal with Spain’s top football league LaLiga to develop their official fantasy game for India.

The deal came into being from the ongoing football season and will last until the 2023/24 campaign.

LaLiga features some of the most popular teams in the world like Real Madrid FC, FC Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. Global football stars like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Ramos, and Gareth Bale are also part of the Spanish league.

Dream11 aims to develop an official fantasy game centered around LaLiga, which allows players to pick virtual teams consisting of footballers from the 20 Spanish top-flight sides and compete against each other.

Dream11 already boasts official fantasy deals with the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), and the Indian Super League (ISL).

LaLiga officials welcomed the deal, which makes Dream11 the league’s first regional partner in the Indian subcontinent. This arrangement will also help LaLiga reach a larger fanbase in India.

“We are thrilled to announce Dream11 as our first-ever regional partner in the Indian subcontinent,” said Jose Antonio Cachaza, the managing director of LaLiga India.

“In India, fantasy sports have massive popularity and our association with the country’s biggest fantasy sports platform will help us widen our reach and introduce many heroes of the league,” he added.

Dream11 co-founder and chief executive officer Harsh Jain believes that the partnership with LaLiga will enhance the user experience on the platform.

“Our association with LaLiga will help us deliver comprehensive and best-in-class fantasy sports experience to Indian football fans,” said Jain.

Sporta Technologies, the owner of Dream11, has also partnered up with the NBA and Major League Baseball to live-stream their matches on the FanCode app, a subsidiary of Dream11.
